Low-frequency ultrasonic flaw detector A1220 MONOLITH is suitable for solving of thickness measuring and flaw detection tasks for difficult materials, such as concrete, stone, asphalt, etc. The unique feature of the device is that it can control using echo-method at one-side access to the object of control, that makes possible the testing of the functional structures, such as biuldings, bridges, tonnels, etc.
One of the main advantages of the device, is that the testing is performed without using any contact liquid, because of the dry-point-contact transducers used in antenna array. That also allows not to prepare the surface of control and makes the testing process simple and fast.
Areas of application
- The search of foreign inclusions, cracks and pores inside of constructions from concrete, stone, Plastics and alike materials at one-side access to the object of control.
- Thickness measuring of constructions from concrete
- The reasearch of the internal structure of the large-grained materials
- Evaluation of the concrete strength with help of through sounding
Description
A1220 MONOLITH consists of electronic unit with a screen and a keyboard and a 24 element (6x4) matrix antenna array. The antenna array elements construction allows to test without using any contact liquid, i.e. with dry-point-contact. All of the elements have an independent spring load, which allows to test uneven surfaces. Additional ultrasonic transducers with transversal and longitudinal ultrasonic waves are used for through sounding.
Features
The device can display the results in diffirent forms:
In A-scan form
Traditional from of signal display. The results display in form of an A-scan is convinient for measuring thickness of the object of control, flaw searching and analysis in selected area of the object. The fully digital section of the device can display signals both in detected form and as a radio signal, which is very important for data analysis. This allows additional possibilities of interpreting the signals, such as differenciating useful signals from noise, and detect signals from various reflectors.
REVIEW mode
ZOOM mode
The feature of this mode is the increased quantity of displayed parameters and two display windows, showing the general view of the signal and the zoomed area. |
- B-scan form
The display of measurement results as a cross-section. B-scan gives a more full image of the internal structure of an object.
BAND mode
MAP mode
Interface
A1220 MONOLTH is simple to setup and use, because of its intuitive interface and the icon menu, that provides fast access to the main settings of the device.
The ergonomical design of the device, its small weight (just 650 grams with a built-in battery) and a set of "hands-free" straps make the device a conviniet instrument for working in hard-to-reach places.
All of the measurements can be saved into memory of the device and can be transferred to PC for further analysis and backup.
